About the Author

Dr. Ebony T Lee, PhD.

Dr. Ebony T. Lee is the founder of WriteVoice, LLC, a company designed to equip educators with the “know-how” for developing students’ writing skills. Dr. Lee has dedicated over two decades in the field of education helping to increase students’ literacy levels and to enhance educators’ ability to support striving readers and writers. Prior to becoming an Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment, she served as an English teacher, literacy coach, college adjunct professor, academic director, and K-12 Language Arts Coordinator. Additionally, as a certified LETRS (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling) trainer, she has undergone a deep study in the science of reading and writing and has utilized her knowledge, along with her doctoral thesis on improving writing in adolescents, to establish a core set of effective practices. Most notably, Dr. Lee has been afforded the opportunity to conduct writing workshops and present to leaders and teachers locally, nationally, and internationally. She has often commented, “ No matter the geography – educators around the world desire straight-forward, easy-to-implement strategies that make their job of improving student outcomes more manageable.”
